Markus James & Anne Harris A collaboration of two American Roots/Blues artists: Chicago based fiddler and singer-songwriter Anne Harris with Northern California based guitarist, singer-songwriter Markus James. Harris James is taking blues and folk music in a new direction.
Markus James and Anne Harris performed at the Kitchener Blues Festival in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada in 2019. They were also at the Handy Blues & BBQ festival in Henderson, KY and the Blues Bender in Las Vegas, that same year. In August 2021 at the Levitt AMP Middlesboro Music Series in Middlesboro, KY.
A very talented mix that extends the boundaries of folk, roots and blues music with strings and drums attached. Markus James has his fans from the blues world. Anne Harris has fans from Otis Taylor’s world and her various roots-based projects. I hope you find this exciting enough. Videos
